Dorothy Lucile Miller, 88, Nevada, Mo. (formerly of Liberal, Mo.), passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Moore Few Care Center, Nevada, Mo. Dorothy was born April 5, 1923 to William Skyler and Emaline Claire (Barfield) Hull in Frederick, Colorado. She married Jess Alvin Miller on July 3, 1938 in Clearwater, Ks. In 1950, Dorothy graduated from the first class of the Kansas Licensed Practical Nurses, Wichita chapter, and was elected first Vice- President of the newly founded Kansas Nurses Assoc- iation. In 1973 the Millers moved to Liberal, Mo., and Dorothy worked at the Ft. Scott Nursing Home until she retired in 1982. She then provided childcare in her home until the year 2000. Dorothy was a member of Spoken Word Tabernacle. Survivors include a daughter, Jana Westfall and husband Jim, Liberal, Mo.; a son, Gregg Miller and wife Mojdeh, Las Vegas, Nevada; four grand- children, Matthew Wiebe, Andy Wiebe, Bryce Miller and Brandon Miller; four great-grandchildren, Quentin Wiebe, Dylan Wiebe, Emma Wiebe and Molly Wiebe; and a brother, Kenneth Hull, Greenfield, IL. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Mary Alys Hull.
