Obituary of Wanda Dickey

Wanda June Dickey, 83, of Pittsburg , Kansas passed away Friday, August19, 2011 at the Medical Lodge in Pittsburg, Kansas. Wanda was born June 4th, 1928 in Arcadia Kansas to Elbert and Thelma Hersh Dickey. She attended Shiloh School near Liberal, Missouri and also the school in Oskaloosa, Missouri. In the 1940's Wanda moved to Pittsburg, Kansas where she lived and worked the rest of her life. She worked in several restaurants as a waitress and cook and later for Dell Letters/US Awards where she worked for several years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Peggy Clark and Judy Thayer and four brothers Eldon Dickey, Dean Dickey, Tommy Dickey and Keith Dickey. Wanda is Survived by three brothers, Bob Dickey and wife Dorothy of Liberal, Missouri, Ronald Dickey and wife Carolyn of Arma, Kansas, Billy Dickey and wife Evelyn of Nevada, Missouri; two Sisters, Irma Freeze of Liberal, Missouri and Pat Venable and husband Carl of Liberal, Missouri and a sister-in-law, Juanita Dickey of Wichita, Kansas, She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
