The world has lost a lovely woman. Mrs. Rouse was my first grade teacher - the last year that the Moundville school was open. Then she was my 3rd grade teacher at Bronaugh. What a wonderful woman to have known in my young life! She also taught many of my siblings, and my mother, Lula Welborn, always had great admiration, appreciation and respect for her. My sincere condolences to the family. And also my congratulations for having had such a wonderful blessing in your lives for so long.

Mrs. Rouse has an extremely special place in my heart. I will always remember her as the person who taught me the love of reading I have today. Her gift to so many children has left a legacy that will not be forgotten. She made each of us feel loved and important. Being a teacher also, I hope to be the same influence on the students I have.
