Violet Talbott, 100, Chesterfield, VA, formerly, Liberal, MO, passed away March 14, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born, Feb 19, 1914, to John Joseph Lechien Sr. and Bertha Eunice Sullivan, in Arma, KS. She attended Liberal schools.
Violet married George Manley Andrews in 1934, he was killed in a mining explosion. She then married Richard "Ikie" Phillip Talbott, December 28, 1937 in Mindenmines, MO. This union was blessed with three children. They raised their family in Liberal, MO. She worked hard on their farm and was a devoted ministers' wife. Violet loved cooking, and was a wonderful seamstress. She sewed for herself and many others. Violet was known for making candy, especially her divinity, which she sold to support missions.
Violet is survived by her daughter, Patsy Lacks and husband Kenneth, Chesterfield, VA; five granddaughters, Darelyn Talbott, Orlando, FL, Dana and husband, Andy Carper, Palm Bay, FL, Michela and husband, Randy Trott, Powhatan, VA, Shannon and husband, Mike Hayes, Chesterfield, VA, Mandy and husband, John Dowdy, Chester, VA; nine great grandchildren, Molly Trott, Micah Lynn, Mason Lynn, Collean Trott, Sydney Carper, Sarah Carper, Jadon Hayes, Jaxon Hayes, Lexi Hayes. Violet was preceded by her parents; husband, Richard Phillip "Ikie" Talbott; sons, Darel Talbott and his wife Betty Jean, Ronnie Talbott; two sisters, Eunice Stahl and Rachel Smith; brother, Johnny Lechien.
