Obituary of David Thurman

David Lee "Roy" Thurman, 57 of Maple Grove, Missouri passed away February 10, 2015 after a brief illness. Roy was born in Bakersfield, California to David and Doris Arrington Thurman. Roy lived a simple life and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife, Karen and his family. He was a self-employed mechanic who owned a Muffler Shop in his early years and also did many odd jobs. He also worked for the Big Nickle delivering papers. He was an honest person who gave to other people. Proceeding him in death were his parents. He is survived by his wife Karan Conway Thurman of the home, daughters, Elaine Williams and her husband JD, Wendy Esters, Megon Thurman and Joni Bisbee and her husband Michael; 6 grandchildren, Wessly, Austin, Samson, Phoebie Estes, Teresa and Hayden Williams. Memorial/Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Chapel of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
