Denzelle Eilene McGinley, age 94, of Oklahoma City, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015. Denzelle was born in Irwin MO, December 3, 1920 to W. T. and Nettie (Nance) Franklin. She lived with her Uncle L.W. and aunt Daisy Denny from age 9 and was formerly adopted as an adult. She attended Bakers Grove Country School and Lamar High School Graduating in 1939. She Graduated form the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, with a
BA in Education. She lived most of her life in Lamar, MO. She married Charles Edgar McGinley, he preceded her in death. She and Ed built and owned the Coutesy Court Motel. During the construction she traveled around the area looking for building materials while Ed did the building. They operated it for 32 years. She will be remembered for her service and devotion to the Order of Eastern Star. During her 50 plus years She was a Worthy Matron, District Deputy Grand Matron, Mother Advisor to the Rainbow Girls and Secretary of our local chapter in Lamar. She is survived by a daughter, Daisy McGinley of Alexandria, VA, a son Gary and his wife Cheryl McGinley of Oklahoma City, OK, grandson, Michael and wife Ashley McGinley and 2 great grandchildren of Moore, OK. Also surviving is her sister Maureen Rogers of Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers Denzelle had requested that donations be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.
