Marie Kerby, age 80, passed away June 29, 2016 in Joplin, MO. She was born October 16, 1935 in Mindenmines, MO to William S. and Rose (Chase) Kerby, she lived at the family homestead in Mindenmines till she moved to Joplin, MO in 1967 to be with her sister. She attended and graduated high school at Mindenmines, MO. Marie was a secretary at Pittsburg State University, retiring in June 1998. She loved Country and Gospel music and was an avid fan and was involved in and supported the fan clubs of her favorites performers. She is survived by one nephew; Michael Ohlahausen; Joplin, MO, two nieces; Diana Noe, Galena, KS and Pamela Riggs, Pryor, OK. Her parents and sisters Marjorie June Kerby and A. Allene Sinfellow preceded her in death.
