Raymond Leivan, 86, Lamar, MO, passed away January 1, 2012, at his home. Raymond was born August 18, 1926 to Ricardo Alberto and Eva Mae McDonald Leivan, in Dudenville, MO. He was a graduate of Golden City High School.
Raymond served his country during WWII in the United States Army. He worked for Lake City Arsenal. In 1968, he bought a farm near Lamar, where he has since resided. Raymond worked at Lawn Boy and farmed. December 21, 1986 he married Mary, in Sheldon, MO. He was a member of the American Legion and a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Lamar.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; son Richard A. Leivan, Iantha, MO; daughter Nancy Thomas, Golden City, MO; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; a sister, Eunice Mae Walker, Lamar, MO. Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Leivan; his parents; a sister, Helen Louise Tubaugh.
He will be missed by his family and friends.
