Obituary of Alice Overstreet

Alice Overstreet, 96 years of age, formerly of Liberal, passed away Feb 16, 2017 at Grove OK. She was born Nov 29, 1920, to Emmett Francis Richmond and Sadie Belle Talbott Richmond. She was the third of eight children. She married Charles Overstreet in 1938. He preceded her in October 2012. Alice was a life long member of the Liberal community until 2004 when she and Charles moved to Carthage. In 2014 Alice moved to Grove OK. She was active in the Liberal community and the Liberal Christian Church where she was a member for many years. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses; Pat and Roy Thomas of Carthage, MO and Linda and Al Kimmle of Grove, OK. Three grand children and their families also survive. They include, Mike and Tara Thomas and Ethan, Karly and Macy of Carthage, MO; Dee Ann and Doug Miller, Katie and Grant of Webb City, MO; April and Shawn Wheeler, Jessica and Alexis of Muskogee, OK, Also surviving are 3 step grandchildren and their families; one sister , Helen Marlow and husband Howard of Kansas City, MO; two sisters-in-law, Katie Richmond of Libery MO and Nadine Overstreet of Lamar Mo; and a brother-in-law Clem Prettyman of Joplin, MO. She was preceded by her 2 Brothers Lloyd and Bill Richmond, 4 sisters, Roma Charlton , Muriel Peterson, Sherry Kaye Prettyman and infant sister Ruby Richmond.
