Marjorie Sue "Mame" Castle (95) of Lamar, MO, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1921 in Jefferson City, MO to Calvin Speedy and Susan (Wells) Speedy Stillwell and spent most of her early life growing up in Tuscumbia, MO. She married Carl Castle on September 10, 1943. She was a long time resident of Lamar, MO where she made her home with Carl after World War II and raised their family. She was a member of P.E.O., Daughters of the American Revolution, The Antique Club and Lamar United Methodist Church. She was an avid antique collector and loved to cook. One of her favorite places to be was in her kitchen and she is known for her famous "Mame" burgers. She loved her cats. Most of all she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her 4 children; Bill Castle and wife Suzan of Cincinnati, OH, Carla Scott and husband Robert of Lamar, MO, Lynn Hasson and husband Jeff of Springfield, MO, Scott Castle and wife Debbie of Lamar, MO. Nine grandchildren; Chesley (Stacy) Scott, Joshua (Lori) Scott, Alex (Jennifer) Castle, Ben (Jaime) Castle, Elizabeth (Andy) Hasson, Rebekah (Chad) Johnson, Alexandra (Josh) Thompson, Casey Castle and Erin (Lance) Rivero and 10 great grandchildren; Henry Castle, Luciana Castle, Luciana Castle, Elliott Johnson, Finnegan Castle, Chloe Carlstrom, Dominic Scott, Audrey Johnson, Julieta Scott, Carter Scott and Thea Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl.
