Obituary of Teddy M DeLashmet
Teddy Milton DeLashmet, passed away Saturday evening October 28, at his home in Lamar surrounded by his family after a long battle with Cancer. Teddy was born to Milton S. and Ethel Scallion DeLashmet July 18, 1952, in St. Louis, MO. After High School Teddy joined the U. S. Army and received many commendations including 2 bronze stars for his service in the Vietnam Campaign. Upon his return to the states he began working on the riverboats and barges on the Mississippi River. He later became an over the road truck driver. Teddy married Jane Ann Wilkinson January 12, 2004. He is survived by his wife Jane; 4 daughters, Lindsay Gilmore and Brittany DeLashmet of Greenfield, MO, Amanda LaFon of Lockwood, MO, and Jessica Madison of Lamar; and nine grandchildren; Johnnie Ryan, Slaighter Cahill, Hannah Steeley, Chloe LaFon, Mason Lafon, Destiny Gillmore, Layton Gillmore, Journey Dahlman and Jona Cofield. Also surviving are 2 sisters; Camilla Rupe and Brenda Bartz, both of St. Louis, MO.
There will be a graveside service 2 P.M. Friday at the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at the graveside.
