Ann E. Courtney, age 91, of Lamar, passed away Sunday December 10, 2017 at the Barton County Memorial Hospital. Ann was born June 26, 1926 in Lee’s Summit, MO, to James Henry and Jeanettie Ann Clarkson. Ann was a long time resident of Lamar and a member of the First Christian Church. Ann Worked for J. C. Penny and that may explain why she always loved to shop. The day after Thanksgiving was her favorite day to shop. Ann is survived by a daughter Mary Ann Weber of California, two sons Richard Hamilton of Blue Springs, MO, and Rob Hamilton of Washington State, 3 grand children; Shauna Hamilton, Richard E. Weber IV, Jennifer L. Lieske, 6 great grandchildren:Taylor Hamilton, Karissa Huckins, Richard “Quinto” Weber V, Oliver Lieske, Kiara Weber and Milo Lieske; One great great grandson on the way, Eli Michael Mullaly; two sisters Emma “Jo” Helms of Creighton, MO. and Christine Hooper of Eldorado Springs. Ann is preceded by her parents, her husband David Courtney, a daughter Karen Hamilton, a brother Charles Clarkson and a sister Dorothy Harter. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. at the Strasburg Cemetery, in Cass County, Missouri, near the town of Pleasant Hill, MO. Mike Gage of the First Christian Church and C. K. Warden will officiate. There will be a visitation Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at The Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar.
