Obituary of Mildred Marie Bennett

Mildred Marie Bennett, 95 of Lamar, MO passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home.  She was born June 8, 1922 in Pittsburg, KS to Frank and Anna (Wilbert) Mertz.  She married Caleb “Cal” Bennett April 20, 1941 he passed away April 17, 2012.

Cal and Mildred owned and operated several businesses including a drive-in restaurant in KS, a laundromat in ND, a cabin resort in MN and a rabbit farm in KS.

They sold the farm and retired to Joplin, MO before settling in Lamar where they enjoyed being outside tending to their flowers, going for walks and visiting with neighbors.

Mildred is survived by 1 son Larry Bennett, FL; sister Renola Schountz (Frank) Pittsburg, KS; and 2 grandchildren. Mildred will be missed by her neighbors, friends, family and caregivers.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00PM December 20^th 2017 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
