Obituary of Randie D. Carnahan
Randie Dee Carnahan, age 62, of Lamar passed away Wed December 27, 2017 at the Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Randie and his twin brother Rickie were born August 15, 1955, in Auburn Indiana to Robert D. and Carol J. (Baker) Carnahan. Randie married Kimberly J. Clayton and together they made their home in California where Randie worked for the Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage CA. where he was the supervisor of the golf course member services department. In his youth he was a capable athlete and He tried out for the Los Angeles Angels and made the team only to have his career cut short by an injury. He remained a loyal fan through out his life. He and his family moved to Lamar in 2015 to be near family who live in the area. Randie is survived by his wife Kimberly, a daughter Victoria Leandra Bergland and husband Ethan of Carl Junction, a son Shane Allen Carnahan and fiancé Betty of Lamar; and 4 brothers; twin brother Rickie of Lamar, Kenny Carnahan of Lamar, Doug Carnahan of Indiana and Donnie Carnahan of Desert Hot Springs , CA. Randie Loved life and enjoyed family and friends. He was a follower of Jesus Christ and was active at Living Word Church in Lamar. There will be a memorial Service at Living Word Church, 42 N.E. First Lane, Monday at 4:00 P.M. There will be a visitation prior to the service. Randie’s family will be ready to receive friends at 3:30 at the church. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to the family in care of the Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
