Obituary of Elaine E. Reynolds
Please share a memory of Elaine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Her Heavenly Father finally decided it was time to grant her greatest desire and let Elaine Reynolds see the majesty and beauty of her eternal heavenly home. She went home on January 28, 2018. Elaine was born near Garber, OK on November 3, 1934 she was blessed to be born to Ray and Edith (Green) Beverlin. Elaine and William Bryant Reynolds were married December 4, 1953 at the First Baptist Church at Pond Creek, OK. To this union were born two daughters, Kathryn Raye Keeney (Dale) and Sharon Diane Collier (Martin) and one son Dr. D. Keith Reynolds (Jeannie). Elaine loved each of these more than life itself and was so proud of their many accomplishments.
Then as she would say, came the whipped cream on the sundae of her life…her five beloved grandchildren. Bryan Bass (Katie), Joshua Keeney, Micah Keeney (Kristen), Sara Laepple (Hayden), and Rachel Collier.
Her sundae of life was made even more perfect with the addition of great-grandchildren…the absolute cherry on top, Daniel Bass, Bethany Bass, Charity Bass, Kaylee Bass, Seth Laepple and Mira Laepple. She is also survived by one sister, Joy Bilyeu; Lamar and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in August 1950 and was baptized in the First Baptist Church, Pond Creek, OK. She was presently a member of the First Baptist Church, Lamar, MO.
Elaine was a retired postmaster having served as postmaster at Richards, Mo and Purcell, MO post offices. She also served as officer in charge of the Liberal, MO post office for quite some time.
