Obituary of Landon Ison

Landon L. Ison, 32, Lamar, Missouri, passed away October 9, 2012. Landon was born October 8, 1980 in Lamar, MO, to Willard Lee Ison and Linda (Johnson) Ison Johanson. Landon graduated from Liberal High School, Liberal, MO, class of 1999. He attended college, on a track scholarship, and the Police Academy. Landon was outstanding at sports, especially football; he received the all area running back award. He won several medals from State competitions in track during high school and currently holds several records in track and football at Liberal High School. Landon also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He liked working in law enforcement. Keeping kids safe and engaged in positive ways was always very important to him. Landon is survived by his sons, Drayton Lee Ison and Kyler Ray Ison; his parents, Linda Johanson and husband, Daryl, Lamar, MO; Willard Lee Ison and wife, Diann, Lamar, MO; a brother, David Lance Ison, New York, NY; a sister, Shana Trish Ison, Lamar, MO; two step-brothers, Sean Johanson and Dustin Gardner; grandfather, Willard E. Ison, Iantha, MO; grandmother, Joyce Johanson of Delaware; Aunts and Uncles, Rick and Cyndy Johnson, Lamar, MO; Teresa and Dale White, Lamar, MO; and Barbara Moroz, Delaware. He was very much loved and will be missed by many.
