Patsy and my mother-in-law, Lois Warren Logan were the best of friends going to school together at Milford Township Consolated schools in Iowa. I ran across this picture of both of them in 1944 when they were both 11 years old. Lois is on the left and Patsy in on the right. Lois often spoke very fondly of Patsy. I wish they could of spent time together in their later years.

NOTE EXCERPTS FROM PATSY'S FRIENDS
I love Patsy dearly and I will miss spending time with her!
I want to share the fact that I thought your Mother was incredible. For many years I looked up to her for how she lived her life and how strong she was as a women. Going back to school when she was older, getting her degree and working in the field she did was so impressive. She had to have been a wonderful Mother and friend also. As a friend, she didn't just "move on" when she moved to Salt Lake City, she kept in contact with us sending Christmas cards and Birthday cards and calling us. Oh, how I will miss her.
Patsy was a FANTASTIC person and I will miss hearing from her.
Patsy was always sending encouragement emails to me and I appreciated that she remembered me. I also was thankful for the afghans.
Patsy was an angel on earth!! Also, one of my most favorite people.
Patsy was a dear friend and such a lovely Christian woman. She set the standard high for service to others and was a wonderful example and mentor. My heart aches for all of us. We have lost a truly remarkable person. I so enjoyed working on the Salvation Army board with her. As long as I can remember, she was there. Please know that I am carrying out her wishes for the table decorations for the Red Kettle Gala. Her sweet spirit and friendship will always remain in my heart.
I often got super nice emails from Patsy and she would always say how much she appreciated what Dale and I have done to keep Milford memories alive, with the book, "Milford Township And Proud of IT!" and all the reunion work, records, and all. She would know, because she worked the reunions for many years, for which we honored her for at one of those more recent reunions. The one at the Ames motel, 3 miles south of where they grew up. It was sometime after she had her coveted degree. We will miss her respect, kindness, timeliness, and how sweet she was about everything she did. It was always special when the Manley's made it back, from the far west, for a Milford reunion. Nobody did more than she.
We also were so pleased Manley's had a special place in our book, Patsy, with her tribute to the school board members- including her father, George, and Lendell about his terrific aviation experience!
It is with sad feelings, yet much respect for Patsy, I write this message. I too lost my sister, Florine, Class of
1952- a year behind Patsy, Pancreatic Cancer, 7/6/03, in a swift, short time, exactly 4 months from the day it was diagnosed. I'll assure you, I'm writing this with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes! Patsy's memory will never fade with me! And she will be given respect and a noted tribute with all fallen Milfordites at our June 23, 2019, Milford Twp Reunion!
Our prayers and love to each of you.
Your mother will certainly be missed. Her many years of service to those in the Salvation Army ARP and then as secretary for the Army advisory board are appreciated by those of us who knew her through these activities. She was a caring and concerned person who gave a lot to others less fortunate in the Ogden community
Your mother and I were dear friends in our childhood and beyond years. Our families lived within a couple miles of each other and were a part of the Milford School community. In more recent times our friendship has been more of comments on a fwd. message that was great and sometimes a little political.
Your Mom's spirit is definitely something to admire.
Thank you for sharing your family with us & stopping by. We will think of her often while playing dominoes.
Oh, my heart is so sad. I love your Mom. I worked with her on several community coalitions. What an amazing woman.
She was also my daughter's counselor at the S.A.! We lost our daughter in April to addiction related issues and Patsy wrote me the most beautiful, kind and healing note. With her permission...we read it at my daughter's funeral.
She was a wonderful lady, I felt blessed to have had her in my life.
Piper I am so sorry to hear!!!! I didn’t know she had cancer. I was planning on making a visit with my mom in spring. I loved your mom so much and you and your family will always be such a vivid and wonderful memory and big part of my life. She was my “Aunt Pat” and I will miss her so much. I loved her emails and calls.
She was such an amazing and strong woman!!!
Patsy was a beautiful, Godly woman whom we respected deeply. She will remain vivid in our memories as a wonderful person, full of grace and service to others.
I’ve known Patsy for many years and her services touched so many lives. I am forever grateful that I got to work with your mom. She will forever be an amazing woman.
