Beulah Marie Hemphill passed away on Saturday May 9, 2020 at Truman Health and Rehab in Lamar, MO. She was born in Milo, MO on December 7, 1925 to Roy and Gladys (Harper) Slates. Beulah spent most of her life in Barton County. She married Emmett Hemphill on December 12, 1940. She worked for Barton County Memorial Hospital and for Truman Health Care until she retired in 1970.
Beulah is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lee of Lamar, MO and Betty Lewis of Ft. Worth, TX and her sister, Blanch Tracy. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, 2 sons, Bruce Hemphill, and Clifford Hemphill, and 2 brothers, Howard Slates and Jack Slates.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to VFW 3691.
There will be a 10 am graveside service at Memory Gardens on Wednesday May 13, 2020.
