Obituary of Marceline Johnson

Marcy (Lewallen) Johnson, Lamar, MO, age 83, passed away February 6, 2012, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. Marcy was born in Randlett, OK, November 23, 1928, to L. W. and Myrtle (Wilson) Lewallen. She graduated from Walters High School, Walters, OK. Marcy married Bill Johnson, July 26, 1947 in Walters, OK. They moved to Lamar, MO, in 1958. Marcy and Bill owned a telegraph business, a real estate business, they also ran the license buereau, and worked as the rodeo headquarters. Marcy was a member of the Lamar First Christian Church. She was an active member of the Lamar, B. P. W., a 30 year volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile, and a member of the Wedding Band Class at the Lamar Christian Church. Marcy was very active with organizing dinners for bereaved families at her church. Preceding Marcy in death are her husband, Bill, her parents, and a brother, Morris Wesley Lewallen. Survivors include a son, Rick Johnson and wife, Cyndy, of Lamar, MO, a daughter, Linda Johanson and husband, Daryl, of Lamar, MO. Six grandchildren, David Ison, Shana Ison, Landon Ison, Sean Johanson, Natalie Johnson, Chad Johnson and wife, Rebekah; Six great-grandchildren, Alexis, Courtney, Carter, Drayton and Kyler Ison, and Elliott Johnson. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends, and all those who knew and loved her
