Obituary of Susan Lynn Kelsey

Susan Lynn Kelsey of Lamar, MO passed away on Sunday September 27, 2020. She was born on October 20, 1951 in Lamar, MO to Douglas and Sadie (Dermott) Johnston. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1969. Susan married John Kelsey in 1984. Susan was a loving grannna who enjoyed spending time with her family. You could find her at ball games with her grandkids, horse shows with her son, and other events they participated in. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed feeding her family. Susan also loved to travel and enjoyed every trip she took. She is survived by her husband, son Brian Johnson of Lamar, MO; daughters, Tessy (Donny) Beck of Liberty, MO and Tisha (Willie) Anderson of Bella Vista, AR; and grandchildren, Chayton Beck, Jake Beck, Lukas Kelsey, and Shelby Anderson. She is also survived by her siblings, Nancy Robertson, Martha (Kent) Gardner, and Sara (Randy) Morey, many nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Bud and Donna Belle Kelsey, and her brother-in-law Stanley Robertson. There will be a visitation on Wednesday September 30, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM at Konantz Warden Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday October 1, 2020 at Lamar United Methodist Church at 2 PM followed by interment at Iantha Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Iantha Cemetery.
