Wanda Maxine Gassman Winningham Gibbs Seibel
August 10, 1923 - February 11, 2013
Wanda was born to Samuel Wilson Gassman and Nina Estelle McKanna Gassman. She was raised by her grandparents Albert and Ray McKanna from the age of three months, who provided a good and loving home. Wanda, always active in church, was saved and baptized by sprinkling when she was nine years old; after joining the First Christian Church some forty-plus years ago she was baptized by full immersion. Wanda married Lee Leon Winningham in April 1940, resulting in three children - Billy Lee (married to Carolyn), Patricia Ann, and Kenneth Wayne Winningham. Lee died in April of 1976. Wanda married Pat Gibbs (Barton County Deputy Sheriff) in June 1977, spending sixteen years with him before he died in May 1993. For many decades, Wanda was a fixture at Barton County Memorial Hospital where she worked for almost twenty six years in radiology before retiring, and then served eighteen years on various hospital boards. She was active in her church and donated much time to the Good Samaritan Center, and served many years on the Senior Citizen's Center board. Wanda married Glen Seibel in September 2009; adding three stepchildren - Tim and Randa Seibel, Alan and Leah Seibel, and Craig Seibel, along with their families.
Wanda leaves behind son Billy Winningham (and wife Carolyn), Lori Frieden Keith (and husband Nicky), Clover Winningham White (and husband James), Cynthia Frieden Wilson (and husband Doug), Kambra Winningham Bolch (and husband David), Gregory Frieden (and partner Cruz Herrera), Aaron Winningham, and Sara Winningham, along with four great grandchildren - Rachel Keith Pepin Claire White, Britney Wilson Colonna, Cassie Wilson, and three great great grandchildren - Madisynn and Hailey Pepin and Skyler Colonna.
