Stephanie J. Clawson passed away on Sunday May 30, 2021. She was born on August 18, 1958, in Liberty, MO to Hubert and Ruby (Roby) Mitchell. Stephanie grew up in Liberty and graduated from high school in 1976. She loved family, friends, and dogs. She was not afraid of anything or anyone. She was the queen of storytelling, especially stories of growing up. She also enjoyed reading stories. She always had a book, usually Sci-Fi but also often Mystery and True Crime.
Stephanie is survived by her daughters, Mellisa Carr of Lamar, MO and Alexis Clawson of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Chelsey Ballard of Lamar, MO, Tyler (Sylvia) Carr of Lamar, MO, Preston Seago of Lamar, MO, Samantha Null of Joplin, MO, and Danielle (Noah) Schiltz of Lamar, MO. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Drake Herring of Lamar, MO, Ethan Hall of Lamar, MO, Izzy Ballard of Lamar, MO, and Cameron Chartier of Joplin, MO; and grand dog, Sasha.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Analisa Boehm, and brother John Martin.
