Obituary of Sandy Stufflebean

Sandra Jo (McKay) Stufflebean passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2022. She was born on March 30, 1954, in Pittsburg, KS to Maurice and Mary McKay. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1972 and completed the nursing program at Ft Scott, KS where she later worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital for over 10 years. She was married to Sammy Dohle from 1973 to 1996 and they had three children. She married Ronald Stufflebean in 1998 and they traveled for over twenty years, fulfilling her desire to “see the world”. Sandra’s health declined over a period of years, so she returned to the Liberal area. She loved crossword puzzles and crocheting. Sandra is survived by her husband; children, Samuel Dohle and wife Tanya of Liberal, MO, Jaclyn Theriault and fiancé Michael of Liberal, MO, and Andrew Dohle of Liberal, MO, and brothers, Rex McKay and wife Deb of Liberal, MO and Tom McKay and wife Linda of Liberal, MO. She is also survived by grandchildren, Madison Saxinger, Dakota Moore, LaSha Johns, Joey Garrett, and Brandon Dohle; two great grandchildren, Elanore and Carter Moore, and by many nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday January 24, 2022 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
