Obituary of Mary Juanita Potter

Mary Juanita Potter passed away on Friday June 3, 2022. She was born in Lamar, MO on February 25, 1944 to Elmer and Ruth (Hamilton) Green. Mary grew up and went to school in Lamar, MO. She worked at Big Smith and then she got her CNA and worked for 13 years at Barton County Hospital and 4 years in home health care for Barton County.
In 1961, she married Andy Lowe and they remained married until he passed away in 1991. Mary moved to Topeka, KS and then to Cherryvale, KS where she worked for Amazon for 4 years. She married Billy Potter who also precedes her in death.
She loved her little dog Holly Mae and her plants and enjoyed shopping for and wearing her jewelry. She was a storyteller who enjoyed reminiscing about family. But more than anything, she loved her family especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Mary is survived by her son David (Misty) Lowe of Neosho, MO; daughter Angela Gibson of Golden City, MO; brothers Bill Combs of Golden City, MO and Larry Combs of Topeka, KS; sisters Teresa Hill of Topeka, KS and Carolyn Sue Gerths of Lamar, MO; and nieces Mendy Jo, Jennifer Sue and Elizabeth Ashley. She is also survived by grandchildren Ethan, Lucas, Amy, Jessica, Kevin, Brandon, Corey, Becca, Katelyn, Jacob, Kaley, Conner, Ryan, Jamie and Austin; and great grandchildren Jeremiah, David, Rhett, Landon, Adrian, and Silas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sons, Greg Lowe and Bobby Lowe; and daughter-in-law Yalonda Lowe.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the family to cover final expenses.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
