Obituary of Gail Riggans

Gailan Carol (Bench) Riggans passed away on Monday October 24, 2022. She was born April 26, 1948, in Modesto, CA to Melvin and Huberta (Manka) Bench. She grew up in Modesto, Ca and attended Downey High School. She moved to Porterville, CA where she lived for many years. Gail was a homebody who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very artistic and enjoyed writing. She had lovely handwriting that was perfect and artistic in itself. She also colored, drew, and cross-stitched. She was a good cook, but enjoyed going out to eat, and loved watching Classic Movies. She is survived by her children Micheal Riggans of Springfield, MO and Kelly (Jesse) Flores of Porterville, CA; siblings Linda Smith of Lockwood, MO and Dennis (Terri) Bench of Lamar, MO; nieces and nephews Diane (Patrick) Terry of Lockwood, MO, Megan Smith of Lockwood, MO, Derek (Brandi) Smith of Camdon, MO, Brandy (Bryair) McCann of Joplin, MO, Tonya Denman of Joplin, MO, and Jason (Shawnee) Bench of Lockwood, MO. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many great nieces, great nephews, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; son Mark Riggans; nephew Dennis “DJ” Smith; and niece Rachel Bench. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 26, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Konantz Warden Funeral Home.
