Beulah Frances McCurdy, 89, Lamar, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 17, at Truman Healthcare. Mrs. McCurdy was born June 7, 1924, in Reeds, MO to Clair and Velma (Baker) Palmer.
Beulah attended grade school in Reeds, MO and graduated from Sarcoxie High School, Sarcoxie, MO. As an adult, she moved to California and worked as an institutional cook in schools and nursing facilities. After retirement, she moved to El Dorado Springs and then to Lamar. Beulah was a member of the Lamar Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed starting her day singing her favorite hymn "Rise, Shine, Give God the Glory".
Beulah was preceded in death by her husband's James Mott, Robert Carnahan and Ernest "Buck" McCurdy; a son, Wayne Mott; two brothers, Lawrence and Frank Palmer; her parents. Survivors include sons Albert Mott, Mariposa, CA, Randy Mott, Moundville, MO, Donnie Carnahan, Palm Desert, CA; daughters Connie (Mott) Clayton, Palm Springs, CA, and Saundra (Mott) Carnahan, Lamar, MO; fourteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren; a brother Joe Palmer, El Dorado Springs, MO. She will be missed by many.
