I did not know Berverlee, met her once many years ago because I am a life long friend of her daughter Gay. I spent 2 days in their house helping Gay sort through the memories and artifacts of their 70 years together. What I came to know shifting through photos is that she loved to travel and kept all her keepsakes from those travels. She loved books, especially ones signed and one author in particular Thomas Hillerman. Clothes? Well whether used or brand new with the tags on them, she dressed nice and loved jeans! Much like my own mother of their age--there were craft materials everywhere including samples of cloth. She liked to use her hands to create something new. Letters and cards in boxes revealed the love language between herself and Bob. Tightly woven together for 70 years, they travelled, hobbied and shared collectibles with each other. Determined to their end to leave together. Their life together will continue to surprise their daughter, Gay, as she reads and takes time to dwell on all the written material left behind including her correspondence with them.
