I met Bob and Beverlee through Community Betterment projects. They were always pleasant to visit with, even as they grew older and we ran into each other in McDonalds or the grocery store. They will be missed for their caring and sevice to this community. I will miss seeing them. May they both rest in peace.

I met Bob many years ago because I am a lifelong friend of his daughter, Gay. I was honored to help Gay go through their memories and artifacts for 2 days so I did get a sense of both her parents, including her dad. Boy! He was the keeper of their life together and their affairs. Every receipt, every document, - pictures on the wall noted with a brief history. Everywhere Gay and went in Lamar people would tell us how much they liked Bob. He (and Beverlee) were collectors and he had a booth in a local antique shop. Standing in his garage among items he collected was a journey--sports, pop culture, etc etc. All tagged and ready to go. I know too that he never left his wife's side as he did everything he could to help her and comfort her and in the end he was not staying a day longer without her. Their daughter will continue to "unpack" their life together as she sorts through the memories and the letters/cards left for her to read. What a life well lived....Kathy
