Ronnie Talbott, 68, Liberal, MO, passed away July 28, 2012. Ronnie was born July 25, 1944, in Liberal, MO, to Richard and Violet Lechien Andrews Talbott. Ronnie graduated from Liberal High School, Liberal, MO, class of 1962.
Ronnie served as Mayor and City Manager for Liberal, MO. He spent most of his life farming and especially enjoyed raising horses and mules, and they became his claim to fame. Ronnie had parts in several movies including "Far and Away", "Maverick II", "Ride with the Devil", 'Legacy and Legends", "The Witness", "Truman", "A Place to Grow", "Burning of Lawrence Kansas", and "The Battle of the Ozarks". Ronnie had a passion for music, and taught himself to play 10 different instruments. He enjoyed Civil War Reenacting as a 1st Sargent in the 2nd Missouri Cavalry.
Ronnie enjoyed his life; spending time with his Church and Church families, friends and entertaining children. He devoted much of his time assisting people, taking care of others, especially the elderly. Music was a very important part of his life; he played at many weddings and funerals.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Ike" Talbott; a brother, Darel Lee Talbott. He is survived by his mother, Violet Talbott; sister Patsy Lacks and husband, Kenneth; Five nieces and nine great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and a host of very dear friends.
