Obituary of Happy Anderson
Please share a memory of Happy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
HAPPY ANDERSON was born November 15, 1928. He departed this life at 94 years of age on November 8, 2023, at Springfield Villas, Springfield, Missouri.
Happy was quite the character. He enjoyed giving his nurses a hard time and liked the extra attention the hospice nurses would give him. However, he was a bit stubborn about the care he would accept.
When his guardian went to meet him for the first time, he told her the court documents stating he had a “lack of capacity” was the legal way of saying he was a dumb ass. He was quite comical. The nurse’s board had a heart written next to his name and he really liked this.
Happy had a long life that was hard at times. He spoke of an abusive father, and not wanting to be like him. He wanted this so much he changed his name to HAPPY ANDERSON. He forgave his father, and also ask God to forgive him.
Happy liked to read, anything from law books, to how to raise earth worms and alpacas. His dream was to have a farm with alpacas, goats, and donkeys. He wanted to help people with substance abuse problems.
Happy had various forms of employment over the years. He worked on telephone pole wires, was a chimney sweep, handyman, fence builder, a jack of all trades. He was also a certified realtor in Arkansas and a Reverend to the Church of Karma in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He said that he calmed himself down by saying, “Peace, Love, and Tranquility.” He believed in God and he believed in forgiveness.
