Elissa Kay Schumacher, 42, passed away suddenly at her home in Hobart, Oklahoma on January 5, 2011. She was born on April 3, 1968 and had lived almost all of her life in Liberal, MO. She graduated in 1987 from Liberal High School. She was a homemaker. On October 8, 1994 she married James B. Schumacher in Lamar, Mo. They moved to Hobart, Oklahoma two years ago. Elissa is survived by her husband, Jim of Hobart, OK; her daughter, Kristina Walker of Joplin, MO; two step-sons, Jamie and Stevie Schumacher of Iowa; her parents, Max and Kay Rose, brothers, Lindy Rose and Kerry Rose ; her sister, Tammy Meadows and of Liberal, MO and a brother Tim Rose of Jasper, MO. Additional survivors includes also her extended family in Iowa including mother and father- in -law, Jim and Florence Schumacher. Elissa became a Christian and was baptized when she was a young girl. She and Jim attended the Hobart Baptist Church. She had recently visited her family and friends over the Christmas holidays. She loved her family and was extremely proud of her daughter, Kristina, who is attending MSSU in Joplin, MO.
