So sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed visiting with Ona Mae. I moved to colorado but kept in contact. It was so enjoyable to talk with her. I missed her when I moved and still do. I am sure she is missed by many. (niece of Tom Whetzell that lived across the street from her) May she rest in peace.

I am sorry to hear of Ona Mae's death. However, I can recall many fine memories when I visited her brother, Jack, when she and Jiggs were living with her mother and brothers out to the southwest of Liberal. I recall several instances that she took us swimming at either Pittsburg's swimming pool or the pits out on the Rose farm. More recently, I have seen many people around Liberal speak of how gentle and kind she was throughout her life. A life well-lived.

I'm sorry I won't get to attend Ona Mae's services on Friday. As luck would have it, I have a doctor's appointment in Joplin at that exact time. I got to see Ona Mae quite frequently and visit with her at Truman Healthcare, as I am a volunteer there. I had no idea she was as bad as she apparently was. I'll miss seeing her sitting in her chair looking out the door onto the hall, people-watching, and visiting with her for a few minutes. Thoughts and prayers with the family. Dorothy

In loving memory of Ona Mae Winship - a wonderful sister-in-law and friend. We had a lot of laughs, food, including the first time Larry & I ate gooseberry ice cream-was pretty good. Now you are at peace & with your family in heaven.
